Our Meetings
If you haven't been to a BNI chapter meeting before, you're in for a surprise. They're professional, engaging, and even fun!
We're a bunch of down-to-earth, friendly local business people who meet every week to develop relationships within the group, but also outside the group.
Our local chapter is called "Dynamic Alliances," and after one visit, you'll know exactly why!
Visitors and new members are the lifeblood of the group, so we're always excited to meet newcomers. One of the many benefits of joining BNI® is that we have several chapters to choose from, so if your profession is already represented in our group, we'll be happy to help place you in another local chapter. But if you're lucky, and your profession isn't already represented, you're welcome to apply to become a member!
Would you like to be good friends with a local auto mechanic? Painter? Plumber? Real Estate agent? Dynamic Alliances may be a good fit for you. Some of our members have been friends outside the group for years. Our chapter really feels like family. You'll agree when you visit.
BNI chapter meetings are a great place to help you hone your public speaking skills. How so?
Every week, you get to stand up for 60 seconds and give a presentation on who you are, and what kind of business you're looking for. This helps the group get to know you very quickly, and every few months, you're allowed to have a 10 minute presentation for the whole group. These mini-seminars are a very friendly way to entertain a captive audience that wants you to succeed.
Our meetings are very structured, in the following manner:
- Open Networking (Where you get to meet everyone)
- Breakfast (Which is always good!)
- 60-Second "Sales Manager Minute" (Where you get to tell everyone exactly what kind of business you're looking for.)
- 10 Minute Presentation (Where the featured speaker gets to share about his or her industry)
- Referral time (Members stand and present their referrals for the week)
Our 10 minute presentations are a great way for members to educate the group about their business, industry news and changes, and more.
For example, did you know that if your Homeowners Insurance Policy has a "coinsurance" provision that you may be liable for tens of thousands of dollars above your deductible in the event of a home loss? Our Insurance broker shared this and other tips with us during her 10 minute presentation.
We serve breakfast at every meeting and it's good food! Our caterer (who is a member of the group) is a great addition to the team, and having a new menu each week keeps the meetings exciting.
BNI chapters like to put our money where our mouth is: when the group needs a service done, we first check the roster to see if anyone within the group can perform the task.
If you'd like to see a meeting in action, please either call us or fill out our contact form and we'd love to welcome you to the group. But there is no obligation—you can even drop in unannounced if you'd prefer!
